Snowflake Christmas cards

I know that this is a tad late but here is what I did to make my Christmas cards last year.

Finished Christmas card.
When I got my Christmas decorations out I discovered a felt garland, inspiration hit! hay floating snowflake cards. This led to the enjoying task of rummaging through supplies to see what I had to add to the wool tops to make my felt glistening and .... well, snowflaky.

Snowy looking pre-felted mess!
I used angelina fibers, snowflake confetti, and white fabric all randomly thrown together. To create this......

Finished felt
Then on to the slightly annoying job as it is fiddly of cutting out snowflakes, threading them and making them float from a card. I made every card different, either different dark coloured card or glitter.

Felted leaf card

Felted Leaf Card
I was sneakily looking at leaf picture at work to find the right one to make into felt, when my colleague looked at me baffled and asked me what I was doing.  Apparently it is expected to look up news and hotels at work but looking at leaf pictures is not!. Anyway, here is a lovely felted leaf card which has been made to celebrate Adam's birthday sorry its 17 days late.

Felted flower badges

You see handmade felt flowers all over the market stores, so I thought I would make some of my own.
I made two different coloured felt as you can see in the picture below. So that I could create a variety of flowers by layering the felt, some are different colours some are the same.
I used a plastic cup to draw around to create the circles and the cut away to create petals, all of them were slightly different. I then sewed on beads and sequins to create the center of the flower. I used hot glue to attach a brooch bar to make the badges, though they could just as easily have been hair clips or hair bobbles.
