Introduction to Textiles

Yesterday was the first day of the Introduction to Textiles course at Making Space. Yes I know weaving again. But this time I played around, I know it's not easy to see but here I have weaved in feathers, fabric, made patterns with the wool, used different textiles, and some beads. I decided to spend my time doing this so that I could learn lots of techniques at once, to allow me to creat something at home. Rather than spending my time making a scarf or a cushion cover just using one technique, one way of packing in the learning.

I had lots of ideas after this workshop and could not resist the urge to get lots of materials.  Which is just about as much fun as the craft itself, and is way to easy to spend lots of money on. Luckily there was a sale on fabrics at Hobbycraft. I look forward to exploring all the new shops I have been given details of from my tutor. I will be planning a craft collecting expedition soon.
